Kinderfeets is a family business. Its owners are energetic and creative Dutch migrants living in the USA. Kinderfeets began life making ergonomically designed wooden balance bikes. Its name, derived from the Dutch words for “children” and “bicycle”, reflects this heritage. Today, Kinderfeets offers a growing range of quality products focused on developing a child’s sense of balance, coordination and mobile independence. This includes its award-winning Kinderboards, versatile Walker Prams, Pikler Play Collection and ergonomically designed balance bikes.
Caring for the planet one tree at a time Kinderfeets has worked hard to earn its Toy Man® Eco-Recognition Seal. Its bikes use timber from low-risk, replenishable sources including bamboo and birch wood. Its Kinderboards use sustainably sourced European beech wood from an FSC certified supplier. Its airless tires are biodegradable. It uses minimal packaging material made from recycled paper and water based-ink. Its paints and lacquers are non-toxic, water-based products. In the USA, as part of the Trees for the Future program, Kinderfeets also plants a tree for every bike it sells.
